LONDON (Alliance News) - Rangers International Football Club PLC will host its extraordinary general meeting at the Ibrox stadium in Glascow after a second London hotel pulled out of hosting, the BBC reported late Tuesday.
The club had just announced Tuesday morning that it had secured a new venue, the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London, to hold the March 4 shareholder meeting, having had its previous London hotel booking cancelled amid concerns of disturbance for other guests.
However, the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel has now also decided against hosting the EGM, citing concerns over the comfort and security of guests and staff, according to the BBC.
Rangers is set to hold a board meeting to vote on proposals tabled by shareholder Dave King to remove the current board. Rangers said Tuesday its directors continue to recommend that shareholders vote against the resolutions.
A spokesperson for Rangers was not immediately available for comment on the BBC report.

Shares in Rangers closed at 34.00 pence Tuesday.
