HOUSTON, June 24 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell's joint-venture 285,500 barrel per day (bpd) Deer Park, Texasrefinery is on schedule to restart the gasoline-producingfluidic catalytic cracking unit by early next week, sourcesfamiliar with plant operations said on Friday.
The 70,000 bpd FCCU was shut on Tuesday to repair a leakingline on the unit, the sources said. A clamp was fabricated onThursday to stop the leak.
A Shell spokesman declined to discuss operations at the DeerPark refinery. On Tuesday, the company said a Deer Park unit"experienced an operational upset." Shell did not identify theunit involved.
The Deer Park refinery is a 50-50 joint venture betweenShell and Pemex, Mexico's national oil company. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Marguerita Choy)
