HOUSTON, Nov 30 (Reuters) - The second-stage of the
hydrocracker at Royal Dutch Shell Plc’s 227,400
barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco, Louisiana, refinery was shut on
Monday because of a malfunction, said sources familiar with
plant operations.
The 40,000-bpd hydrocracker’s first stage remained in
operation on Monday, the sources said. The second stage
processes byproducts from the first stage of the unit.
