OSLO, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Norwegian gas flows to Britainsurged on Friday morning after an unexpected outage at theNyhamna gas processing plant ended, data from gas systemoperator Gassco showed. Gas flows to Europe were running at 334 million cubic metres(mcm) per day by around 0700 GMT, up 45 mcm from the volumesdelivered on Thursday. The Nyhamna plant processes gas from Shell's giantOrmen Lange gas field in the North Sea and feeds it to theLangeled pipeline, Britain's main gas subsea import route. Deliveries to Britain via Langeled rose by 39 mcm fromThursday to 53 mcm/day. Norway can produce up to 350 mcm of gas per day for exportto Britain and continental Europe. An outage at BP's field offshore Norway was expectedto last until Oct. 30, Gassco said in a separatemessage.
