HOUSTON, May 14 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises shut the 60,000 barrel per day (bpd) hydrocracking unit onWednesday at its 600,000 bpd Port Arthur, Texas refinery due toa compressor failure, said sources familiar with operations atthe refinery.
Motiva was also close to finishing a planned overhaul on a200,000 bpd crude distillation unit at the refinery, which isthe nation's largest.
A Motiva representative was not immediately available todiscuss operations at the refinery. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Terry Wade)
