HOUSTON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises {MOTIV.UL]plans to keep the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic crackingunit at the nation's largest crude oil refinery shut for one totwo weeks of repairs, according to sources familiar withoperations at the refinery.
The FCC at the 600,000 barrel per day Port Arthur, Texasrefinery was shut on Tuesday to fix a leak in the CO boiler,according the source. Once the leak is repaired the FCC willrestart.
A CO boiler uses carbon monoxide produced by the FCCU toproduce steam used to power the plant and in the process ofrefining crude oil. (Reporting By Terry Wade)
