LONDON (Alliance News) - Physiomics PLC Monday said it has signed a contract with a new speciality pharmaceuticals customer to investigate how one of the client's new candidate drugs shrinks tumours.
Physiomics scientists will use systems biology approaches to map the possible pathways by which the drug could act, it said in a statement without giving any financial details. The analysis will be used to narrow down possible mechanisms and suggest new experiments that the client can perform to home in on one mechanism.
"If successful, the directors hope that Physiomics will be able to offer its other modelling services to this new client as the project progresses," the company said in a statement.
Physiomics shares were up 31.6% at 0.25 pence early Monday, the biggest gainer on AIM.
