IN BRIEF: Providence Resources CEO Linn exits after Barryroe decision

Providence Resources PLC - Barryroe oil and gas project offshore Ireland - Chief Executive Officer Alan Linn leaves company on Monday to "devote more time to...other business interests". Chair James Menton will be executive chair while Providence searches for a new CEO. "Following the recent strategic decision by the board to take the management and financing of the Barryroe project in-house, this is the opportune time to hand over to new leadership," Linn says. "Providence is now well placed to progress the Barryroe project." The Barryroe project is in the Atlantic Ocean south of Cork.

Current stock price: 3.30 pence, down 4.4% on Tuesday

Year-to-date change: down 33%
