PureCircle Director Boon Seng Steps Down With Immediate Effect

Tue, 31st Dec 2019 13:07

(Alliance News) - Stevia sweetener maker PureCircle Ltd on Tuesday said Tan Boon Seng has resigned as a non-executive director effective immediately, just over one month since taking up the role.

PureCircle explained Boon Seng stepped down due to personal commitments, but remains a "long-term investor" of the firm.

Boon Seng was hired as a representative of investor Wang Tak Co Ltd, which PureCircle in November explained has a total interest of 28% in the company.

On Friday, the Malaysia-headquartered company appointed James Ritchie as chief restructuring officer and interim chief financial officer.

PureCircle shares are currently suspended from trading.
