Ian Davis, the soon-to-be Chairman of Rolls Royce, has purchased his first shares in the company since being appointed to the board at the beginning of March. Davis, who has served on the boards of BP, Johnson & Johnson and McKinsey & Company, bought 5,000 shares at 1,110p at a total cost of £55,500. Davis will take the place of Simon Robertson, who held the role of Chairman for eight years. In a statement released mid February, Davis said: "I am looking forward greatly to joining Rolls-Royce.
