Junior-listed AIM shares are flat, underperforming British smallcaps and the blue chips, which rise 0.1 percent.
Fiberweb rises 6.6 percent, the top FTSE Small Cap riser,after PGI Group agrees to buy the construction materials firm for 183 millionpounds ($291.02 million), a price above the initial offer and at a premium tothe current share price.
Blackstone said in a statement that Fiberweb shareholders would be entitledto receive 103.2 pence per share. The stock currently trades at 102 pence.
Ormonde Mining drops 6.3 percent after a share placing raising 1.07million pounds ($1.70 million) at a price of 4.75 pence per share. The stockcurrently trades on the market at 5.45 pence.
