UK DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Incoming Compass Chair Spends GBP800,000

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of share dealings by London-listed company directors and managers announced on Wednesday and Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Compass Group PLC - Chertsey, Surrey-based caterer - Serrie Meakins, associate of Chair-Elect Ian Meakins, buys 58,362 shares at GBP14.07, worth GBP820,862, on Wednesday. The shares are Ian Meakins's first interest in Compass. The former chief executive of plumbing and heating products firm Ferguson PLC takes over as Compass chair in December. David Parry, associate of General Counsel Alison Yapp, buys 2,832 shares at GBP14.02, worth GBP39,693, also on Wednesday. Yapp now interested in 5,271 shares.

Liontrust Asset Management PLC - London-based asset manager - Chief Executive John Ions and Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer Vinay Abrol each sell 15,753 shares at 1,417.05 pence, worth GBP446,456 in total, on Wednesday. Ions now interested in 745,721 shares, a 1.2% stake, and Abrol 899,737 shares, a 1.5% holding. Liontrust on Wednesday posted pretax profit for the six months ended September 30 of GBP6.9 million, narrowing 26% from GBP9.3 million a year prior. Assets under management and advice were GBP20.60 billion, up 28% since March and 41% from a year before. Liontrust declared an interim dividend of 11.0 pence per share, up 22% from 9.0 pence per share a year prior.

Focusrite PLC - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire-based music and audio products - Outgoing CFO Jeremy Wilson sells 105,000 shares at 956.4p, worth GBP1.0 million. Still has 92,892 shares. COO Tim Dingley sells 75,000 shares at the same price, worth GBP717,300. Retains 234,601 shares. Both sales on Wednesday.

Immotion Group PLC - Manchester-based entertainment and educational virtual reality firm - Directors take part in company's GBP1.2 million equity raise on Wednesday, buying 12.5 million shares at the placing price of 4p, worth GBP500,000. Marketing Director Samuel Higginson buys the lion's share of these, 10.5 million shares. The Higginson family, which includes CEO Martin Higginson, now has 41.0 million Immotion shares, a 10% stake. Finance Director David Marks buys 500,000 shares and now has 10.3 million, a 2.5% stake. Commercial Director Rodney Findley also buys 500,000 and now has 10.6 million, or 2.6%. Ian Hetherington, chair of Immotion Studios, buys 1.0 million shares and now has 2.1 million.

Manchester & London Investment Trust PLC - technology-focused growth-stock investor - Mark Sheppard, owner of the trust's manager M&L Capital Management Ltd, sells 28,130 shares at GBP6.40, worth GBP180,032, on Wednesday. Sheppard sold 86,532 shares on Monday and Tuesday.

Union Jack Oil PLC - UK onshore oil producer and explorer - Executive Chair David Bramhill buys 19.4 million shares at 0.13p, worth GBP25,026, while Executive Director Joseph O'Farrell buys 19.3 million at about the same price, worth GBP25,090, both on Thursday. Bramhill now has 83.3 million shares, a 0.4% stake, and O'Farrell 337.4 million, or 1.7%.
