LONDON (Alliance News) - Motive Television PLC announced on Firday that Motive Television Services Ltd, its fully-owned subsidiary, has been appointed prime contractor and system integrator for the upcoming launch and continued operations of Siyaya Free To Air TV (Pty) Ltd television service.
Motive will be responsible for ensuring that the major international vendor and suppliers selected by Siyaya deliver on their commitments on time and on budget. This is in addition to Motive developing, installing and testing its own technology and continuing to advise on the project.
The new appointment for Motive is in addition to the original contract signed in 2013, which was expected to generate revenue in excess of GBP1 million over the life of the contract. From the contract, Motive expects to generate gross revenue in excess of USD5 million over the next 3 to 5 years.
"Motive is pleased to take on the responsibility of helping with selecting, coordinating, managing and bringing together the technical work of a consortium of major international and South African providers to ensure that Siyaya has efficient and successful launch and operations. We have supported and advised Siyaya since 2013 and are excited to take on this new responsibility," said Chief Executive Officer Leonard M Fertig.
Shares in Motive trades flat at 0.00650 pence Monday late morning on the news.
