Fri, 26th Aug 2022 10:33

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Lamprell PLC, up 8.2% at 8.68 pence, 12-month range 3.81p-45.00p. Thunderball Investments Ltd, a consortium of Blofeld Investment Management Ltd and Al Gihaz Holding Co, says received sufficient acceptances to meet acceptance conditions for its takeover of Lamprell. Thunderball says it has received valid acceptances of 50% and as such has declared the offer, unconditional.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies Holdings PLC, down 11% at 0.80p, 12-month range 0.70p-3.23p. The prescription cannabinoid medicines developer says continuing market uncertainty and an increasingly challenging macroeconomic outlook led it to review the allocation of its existing budget. Following the review, the company considers it "prudent" to temporarily delay phase one clinical trials of OCT130401, its second programme. Phase one clinical trials for its lead programme, OCT461201 remain on track and on budget, and are due to commence in January 2023, it says. In addition, Finance Director Karen Lowe to step down to pursue non-executive opportunities. The recruitment of her successor is already underway and a further announcement will be made in due course, it adds.
