(Alliance News) - Kavango Resources PLC on Friday announced the completion of the final geological survey of its property in Botswana's Kalahari copper belt.
The London-based metals exploration company hired a Cape Town-based firm, New Resolution Geophysics, to conduct an airborne geophysical survey to gather 2,374 line-kilometres of data, covering the area containing its Karakubis licences near the Namibian border.
Kavango Resources Chief Executive Officer Ben Turney said: "The completion of the NRG geophysical survey marks the commencement of a significant phase of exploration on the Karakubis licences. We aim to develop target areas from the data and then follow-up with ground geophysics immediately to develop drill targets for copper and related metals."
The geophysical processing and initial interpretation is estimated to be completed by the end of March, followed by ground geophysics in April and the generation of drill targets.
Shares in Kavango Resources went untraded on Friday, last closed at 0.86 pence in London on Thursday.
