UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Diageo Taps Former Bain And Goldman Exec

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Diageo PLC - London-based distiller and brewer - Hires Melissa Bethell as non-executive director from Tuesday next week. Bethell is managing partner of Atairos Europe, an investment firm backed by Comcast NBC Universal. Previously at private equity firm Bain Capital and before that investment bank Goldman Sachs Group Inc. She currently is a non-executive director of Tesco PLC.

NAHL Group PLC - Northamptonshire-based legal services - Hires Brian Philips as non-executive director, effective immediately. Currently a partner at private equity firm Imbiba LLP. Previously was with US investment bank Greenhill & Co.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC - London-based generic drugs maker - Jochen Gann resigns immediately as director after Boehringer Ingelheim Invest GmbH sells entire 16% stake in Hikma. The arm of the German pharmaceutical company earlier this week sold 27.2 million shares in Hikma at GBP23.00 each for a total of around GBP625 million. Hikma also will buy back around 12.8 million shares from Boehringer, at the same price.

DeepMatter Group PLC - Bristol-based firm whose DigitalGlassware platform allows chemistry experiment results to be shared online - Non-Executive Chair James Ede-Golightly resigns from board at end of annual general meeting. Says board in discussions with candidates and expects to announce new non-executive chair later in the year.

Premier African Minerals Ltd - tungsten, rare earth elements, lithium and tantalum in Zimbabwe - Promotes Non-Executive Director Neil Herbert to non-executive chair, as George Roach reverts to chief executive. Herbert joined board in August of last year.

SolGold PLC - copper and gold in Ecuador - Craig Jones, the board nominee of Newcrest Mining Ltd, resigns from board at request of Newcrest after three years. Separately, appoints Peter Holmes as director of studies and Steven Belohlawek as general manager for Underground Development & Mining.

Telit Communications PLC - London-based internet of things - Hires Yuxiang Yang as non-executive director immediately. Yang is founder and CEO of investment manager China Fusion Capital. He also is CEO of Run Liang Tai Management Ltd, a 15% shareholder in Telit. Separately, Telit says its CAT-M modules, the ME310G1 and ME910G1, have been certified for use on Verizon's 4G LTE network. The modules are used for wearable medical devices, smart utility metering, and industrial sensors.

Renalytix AI PLC - Cardiff-based firm focused on in vitro diagnostics - Non-Executive Chair Julian Baines and Non-Executive Director Richard Evans to step down immediately prior to completion of proposed Nasdaq dual-listing and public offering of American Depositary Shares. Non-Executive Director Christopher Mills to become interim chair while a replacement is found. Calls July 13 general meeting to approve Nasdaq listing plan.

Ormonde Mining PLC - Meath, Ireland-based developer of gold projects in Spain - Appoints Brian Timmons as non-executive director, effective immediately, at request of largest shareholder. Timmons is chief financial officer of software firm Irish Medical Systems.

IGas Energy PLC - UK onshore oil & gas producer - CFO Julian Tedder steps down from July 31 and Financial Controller Frances Ward takes over responsibilities as part of cost cutting.
