(Alliance News) - Invesco Asia Trust PLC on Thursday announced a director appointment and declared a 3.40 pence per share interim dividend.
Vanessa Donegan joins the trust with immediate effect as a non-executive director. Donegan was "Head of the Asia Pacific desk at Threadneedle Investments and then Head of Asia Pacific Equities, EMEA region at Columbia Threadneedle for a combined total of twenty-one years."
The company has moved its dividend payment dates and will now pay two interim dividends in respect of its financial year, one in November and one in April. The firm previously paid an interim dividend in January followed by a final dividend in September.
The new dividend payment format has been put in place "in order to align closely with the receipt of income in the company's portfolio". A first 3.40p per share interim dividend will be paid on November 26 and will represent around half the company's total dividend for the year.
Shares in London-based Invesco Asia closed up 0.3% at 270.22p in London on Thursday.
