(Alliance News) - Gulf Marine Services PLC, a United Arab Emirates-based support vessels provider, said resolutions to appoint Hassan Heikal and Hesham Halbouny as directors were narrowly approved at a general meeting.
A total of 58% of votes favoured the director appointments at the meeting, requisitioned by Seafox International Ltd, with 43% against.
Gulf Marine said: "The board will publish an update on views received from shareholders, and actions taken, within six months of the requisitioned GM, and a final summary together with any further steps in the next annual report."
Seafox, a global offshore jack-up company, was "pleased to note the support" for its resolutions. It said the vote endorsed the validity of its views on Gulf Maine and reflected its position as a 30% shareholder.
Shares in Gulf Maine ended down 2.1% at 0.53 pence on Tuesday.
