LONDON (Alliance News) - Georgia Healthcare Group PLC said Thursday that it has launched a new district polyclinic in the Saburtalo neighbourhood of Tbilisi, covering a population of 240,000.
The launch was in line with company's strategy of growing its healthcare services business by rolling out a network of polyclinics across Tbilisi and other cities in Georgia, the company said.
The newly opened outpatient clinic in Tbilisi will provide a wide range of services to all age patient groups, including general practitioner and specialist physician consultations, imaging and functional diagnostics, as well as clinical, biochemical and serological laboratory tests.
Following the launch, Georgia Healthcare owed a total of 17 district polyclinics, with ten of them located in Tbilisi and the rest of them in the regional centres.
In the separate announcement on Thursday, Georgia Healthcare said that its Deputy Chief Executive Officer Giorgi Mindiashvili sold a total of 20,189 shares in the healthcare services provider company in two transactions.
In transaction on Monday, Mindiashvili sold 15,085 shares at 333.00 pence per share, worth GBP50,221, followed by sale of 5,104 shares on Tuesday at 331.00p per share, totalling in GBP16,891.
Georgia Healthcare shares were trading flat at 325.00p each on Thursday.
The company did not provide Mindiashvili's holding, if any, following the transaction.
