(Sharecast News) - G4S on Thursday reported 4.3% growth in third quarter organic and said it was looking at unsolicited approaches for its cash solutions business as an alternative to a planned demerger.
The company reported organic sales growth of 4.3% after a 9.9% turnover increase in the Americas and a 5.9% rise in Africa, offsetting a slight decline in Europe.
The cash solutions segment, which G4S said it was on track to separate in the first quarter of 2020, delivered 4.1% organic sales growth after it won a five-year contract with an unnamed US convenience store giant.
Chief executive Ashley Almanza highlighted the improvement in organic revenue growth from 2.7% in last year's third quarter and added that there were good opportunities to generate further revenue growth next year and beyond
