LONDON (Alliance News) - ECO Animal Health Group PLC Monday said it has received a marketing authorization from the European Medicines Agency for the use of its Aivlosin 625 milogram per gram water soluble granules in turkeys.
The authorization allows for the medication of drinking water with Aivlosin for the treatment of respiratory disease associated with Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale in turkeys, it said.
"Aivlosin is the first antibiotic to be granted approval in Europe for this specific indication, an economically important respiratory disease. Europe has a 30% share of global turkey meat production," the company said in a statement.
The stock was up 3.3% at 214.86 pence Monday morning.
