SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: LSL falls on tough trading conditions

Fri, 25th Nov 2022 11:07

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Devro PLC, up 60% at 307.50 pence, 12-month range 160.35p-310.00p. The sausage casings maker agrees to 316.1p per share takeover from food manufacturing company Saria. The deal values the sausage casings maker's equity at GBP540 million and gives it an enterprise value, including debt, of GBP667 million.

----------

CT Private Equity Trust PLC, up 5.3% at 451.00 pence, 12-month range 375.51p-520.00p. The investment trust's net asset value per share increases to 711.75p in the three months to September 30, up from 656.75p at the end of June. It reflects a total return for the three months of 9.3%

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

LSL Property Services PLC, down 13% at 229.00p, 12-month range 211.00p-411.00p. The company says trading conditions since its first half have been trickier than expected, amid mortgage market turmoil. "Across the market, this has given rise to a reduction in mortgage activity and new house sales, and an increase in fall-throughs of previously agreed sales," LSL said. It means there is a "wider range" of full-year outcomes than expected.
