CML Microcircuits Share News (CML)

Marketing software provider Alterian says that it needs a strong performance in the US and other international markets to offset the downturn in Europe. If that does not happen then it will not achieve the forecasts of 2009-10 profits of more than £9m. European revenues were flat in the third quarter but this was offset by a strong performance in the US. Alterian's third quarter revenues were 21% higher. Revenues for the first nine months of the year are 29% ahead. Alterian needs another bumper trading period in the US in the fourth quarter if it is to meet estimates for the year to March 2009 but that US boost can't be counted on. A couple of relatively large transactions in its shares sparked a rise in the CML Microsystems share price. In the case of CML, relatively large means deals worth around £8,000-£9,000. The share price was depressed by CML considering dropping its listing. Director buying appears to have helped to reassure investors.
