Parkmead Group PLC - Netherlands and UK-focused gas explorer - Says Drilltec Synergy 2 Rig has started its mobilisation ahead of the two-well drilling programme campaign in the Netherlands. Says the LDS wells will target "multiple Rotliegendes gas reservoir prospects from the existing Diever well site, which is already in production". Says a successful drilling outcome will result in new fast-track production that adds additional revenue and cash flow. Expects results of the first LDS well to be known around the end of 2022, with the second being known in the first quarter next year.

----------

Kromek Group PLC - Durham, England-based radiation and bio-detection technology solutions provider - Gets contract with a UK government department to develop and supply biological threat detection systems, for GBP4.9 million. ----------

Castings PLC - Brownhills, England-based iron casting and machining firm - Says sales amounts to GBP85.6 million for the six months that ended on September 30, compared to GBP69.7 million the year before. Pretax profit rises to GBP7.5 million from GBP5.4 million, as gross profit increases to GBP17.3 million from GBP13.9 million a year ago. Declares an interim dividend of 3.84 pence per share. Says Brian Cooke to stand down as chair, effective from January 1 next year. He will not be seeking re-election as a director.

----------

East Star Resources PLC - London-based, Kazakhstan-focused, gold, rare earths and copper explorer - Completes 1,001 metres of reverse circulation drilling at the Talairyk heavy rare earths project in East Kostanay, Kazakhstan. "Drilling was designed to confirm historical grades, width and extent of the mineralisation, and provide samples for metallurgical test work", it says. Says samples are currently undergoing further analysis using portable X-ray fluorescence to determine the sampling intersections for laboratory assay and leach test work.
