LONDON (Alliance News) - Coca-Cola HBC on Monday said it has named former Chairman George David as chairman emeritus of the company.
David stepped down from his role as chairman in January and retired from the board last week. He was replaced by Anastassis David who had been vice chairman since 2014.
"In view of Mr David's exceptional contribution to the board, his many years of dedication to the Coca-Cola HBC group, as well as his strong identification with the company and its shareholders' interests, the board has decided to name Mr David as chairman emeritus of the company with effect from June 24, 2016," Coca-Cola HBC said in statement.
Coca-Cola HBC added that David will not receive any remuneration for the role.
Shares in Coca-Cola HBC were trading up 0.7% at 1,376.00 pence on Monday afternoon.
