(Alliance News) - Blackrock North American Income Trust PLC on Monday named Melanie Roberts as a non-executive director with effect from October 1.
Roberts has over 20 years of investment experience, Blackrock said, and she is currently an investment manager at Sarasin & Partners LLP.
She also spent 16 years at Newton Investment Management Ltd as a fund manager of charity, private client, and pension fund portfolios.
She will serve on Blackrock's Audit and Management Engagement Committee.
Shares in Blackrock closed 0.5% lower at 193.00 pence each in London on Monday.
