Avanti Communications has won a contract with Turkish telecom operator ESER Telekom to deliver its satellite broadband coverage in the Middle East.ESER, based in Ankara, will deliver broadband packages using Ka-band technology to consumer and enterprise customers currently out of range of terrestrial services in the region. Its customers include mobile operators, government agencies and corporate market.Avanti, an AIM-listed telecoms services provider, said forecasts currently predict internet usage in the Middle East rising significantly from 90m to 413m users by 2015.Chief Executive David Williams said: "We are proud to support ESER in providing high-quality satellite services to the Middle East.
