China's Tiangong-1 space lab to fall to Earth this weekend:ESA

China's Tiangong-1 space lab is likely to fall to Earthsometime between Friday and Monday and shower debris over anarea covering thousands of square kilometers (miles), though therisk to people will be very small, the European Space Agencyaid. ESA said the 10.4-metre-long (34.1-foot) space station isexpected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere somewhere between the43rd north and south parallels, roughly between the latitudes ofLondon in Britain and Wellington in New Zealand.

Airbus says EU should keep Britain in Galileo space projectdespite Brexit

The chief executive of aerospace firm Airbus saidBritain should not be frozen out of the European Union's Galileospace program after Brexit, calling on both sides to find along-term solution in the interest of security. Tom Enders,Airbus CEO, said at stake was not just the Galileo satelliteprogram, the EU's 10 billion euro ($12.4 billion) program todevelop a rival to the U.S. Global Positioning System, but thecontinent's ability to protect itself.
