PRESS: Former AA Chairman Mackenzie Suing Over Lost Bonus Payments

Thu, 08th Mar 2018 07:28

LONDON (Alliance News) - Former AA PLC boss Bob Mackenzie is suing the company for up to GBP220.0 million, the Daily Mail reported on Thursday.

Mackenzie, who was fired as the roadside assistance firm's chairman last August after a fight with a fellow executive, claims he is being denied bonus payments because he should not have been dismissed.

The newspaper said he is trying to hold onto performance-related shares he would have been due, worth between GBP85.0 million to GBP220.0 million and annual dividends of GBP3.3 million.

Mackenzie is also claiming his actions were the result of the "bullying" behaviour of other directors, and that his dismissal was linked to a disagreement over whether AA was to be sold, the Daily Mail said.
