(Alliance News) - AA PLC on Tuesday said it appointed Kevin Dangerfield as chief financial officer from January 6 next year.
On the same date, Mark Strickland will step down as interim CFO and continue in a group project role as part of the executive committee.
AA provides car insurance, driving lessons and breakdown cover. It said Dangerfield is a qualified chartered accountant and has over 25 years' experience in a variety of industries including technology and manufacturing. He was most recently CFO of Wilmcote Holdings PLC.
"Kevin brings a wealth of highly relevant finance experience from across a number of sectors to the executive management team and the board. I would like to welcome him to the AA and look forward to working together," said Chair John Leach.
"On behalf of the company, I would also like to thank Mark Strickland for his invaluable contribution and ongoing support," added Leach.
AA shares were trading 0.7% lower in London on Tuesday morning at 53.39 pence each.
