I was wondering what people's opinion on the importance of the first post on any given day is?
I recently had a poster imply to me that the first post of the day was somehow important on these forums. I know sentiment analysis is a hot topic right now, but it wasn't something I'd considered, as far as I can tell the LSE forums don't treat the first post on a day in any special way. Doubly so in the thread view if it's not a new topic. Certainly if I was building a sentiment analysis engine I wouldn't have assumed the timing of a post was at all relevant except perhaps for helping detect bots. Maybe there's an argument to be made around directing discussion?

Wonderfully put. I too was a scaredy cat as a kid I used to hide my face and knocked into stuff at blockbuster because I saw covers of nightmare before Christmas [LINK REMOVED]

Find good stocks, buy them before they go up and ditch them before they go down. That’s all you should ever want to do if you’re investing.
Only issue is, this market & system is corrupt to F**k and the world is inching ever closer to a dystopian nightmare by the second.
We vote for politicians (doesn’t matter on the side) who only have their best interests at heart & those of their puppet master donors, it’s almost comical people even pay attention anymore like it matters.
In Canada they’ve just made it legal to cut off anyone’s bank account without due process.
NATO have been forcing their way towards russia for over a decade to try and continue Americas Neocon world domination bulls**t
America send money to Iran & in the same week Hamas thank Iran for funding their invasion.
Australia & it’s covid camps.
And without naming every f**king bats**t crazy policy, idea & con going that people are largely completely oblivious too or to conformed in the system their morels went Mia… Lastly:
The WHO and their “worldwide pandemic treaty” - giving them ultimate powers to decide when there is a lockdown, how long for… even a “Co2 emergency” could require considerable lockdowns, largely in that window licking tw*t bill gates hands. Undemocratic, unelected largely privately funded con & you won’t hear about on the msm.
Meanwhile in LSE land… mateys wondering if the first post of the day sparks the days conversation… I guess that depends on whether the post warrants a reply, lol. this one didn’t but the nostalgia of the simplicity reeled me in.
