Chuckie. DO NOT DO IT. I am telling you as a friend. If it goes wrong, it's awful. Or at least, make sure you do a trial demo for several wks so you know what you're doing.....
Chuckie You have to put the money upfront whether you short or go long. Both equally risky as 50-50 chance of being wrong in both scenarios. But you're completely right abt how much someone can lose really quickly.... I was forced to take a career break due to personal circumstances. Once 'that' was sorted, then a couple of other major things have happened so had to reassess my priorities and unfortunately career had to be put second. But worked in pharma within various roles. That's my background academically as well. Hence why I know abt the chicken and the egg. And you don't ....lol!!! That seem ages ago! ;) Doing investing to make money so can be indpndnt and if it works out, then I have the option of not returning to work....That's the plan anyway.....:) Yup, post a lot recently but nearly always multi-tasking in the background as other 'things' going on; it's just that no-one can see so e'one assumes I'm ''just'' posting when I am actually doing at least 1-2 other things that nd my attention. I reckon most ppl are doing other things too............ How about you? Apart from freeing the local neighbourhood of innocent strays and dumping them in bins after viciously attaking them, what do you do? Except get up at 12.33pm? ;)
seems fun :)
so answer me this, what is your day time job, you are posting here till midnight, i know cause i need to wake up at 3am sometimes....???...btw i would not go shorting either..too risky as well..one day you can wake up and owe 100k just because you were wrong, at least when you go long, you only lose what you put in, reason why i stay away from margins too...:)
like your friend has legged it. Happy to write witty/sarccy remarks abt me when Im not here, but the minute I arrive, the coward legs it and leaves you to it. lol!
Nope-lost, hence playing catch up. Once done, I'm out. As a friend, I wld say 'Don't touch them'. I agree. Really risky..........
PMs are going to go up in the long run. So if purchased now, you place £X for every pound they will go up. Say £10.00. If they go up from $1250 to $1360 in a month, then that's £1k. And PMs are defo going up long term so now is the time to buy. You nd to know the trend of whatever you're purchasing. I reckon oil is going to drop next few weeks. So you place a 'short'- which means you earn money for every £ it drops. You can close it down any time you want. Supposed to be easy money but it really isn't. You can invest for as short or as long as you want on anything seconds to years....i.e indexes, currencies, oil, markets, etc Less risky?? They are the MOST risky trading 'investments'.........
seems to me someone has been making too much money, i would not even touch spread bets lol
how long is long term....i dont understand why you just dont trade shares, you get a few percentages from pm and sp...i dont get the reason to trade them..less risky, is that why???
Spread bets. To be honest, I wish I had not got into them. Incredibly high risk and chasing my tail all the time. Even when I get the predictions right, it's stressful and you;re having to kp an eye on them constantly.... Lose ££££ in minutes if you;re not careful. You shd defo stay away be an adrenaline junkie.....! I'm doing S&P and PMs next week and they HAVE to work out for me long term....
think there was a holding rns from sepu as well, when it started its decline from 200p lol...did a small bounce...although jp morgan had a target of 200p...if i am correct...but we will see, dont take any broker rating seriously, tbh...
I think the opposite. There was a holdinsg RNS yday so that helps plus sometimes they go up a few pence only after the initial bounce and then a week or two later, they really start to slowly but consistenly increase. EVRAZ did that. 35% in 2 wks the day I bought into SEPU having watched it for a month....as I said, I'm jinxed........!
yep a minor one...-.-...what is the deal with s/b or whatever they are you keep talking about....
Are you serious? With those stocks you have more fees too pay than with Aim so that end up adding extra to the final price. Did you actually make a minor loss then cos it never went above 168p. That's why you said 'I've been naughty'....nothing to do with the choccy buns.........??!
after i read about samsung and apple, didnt think it was the right one to be honest...i personally think it will drop further..considering today it was up only around 1% ...which was a sad attempt imo..but interesting too how it will go anyways
i did not tell anyone this, but i bought into lrd the day on the drop at around. was it 161. but sold a few minutes later...call that an adrenaline trade lol
Cruel wr.t. which aspect exactly?
MR WM: I just read that, lol As I said once before, keep it up.......See where that gets you..........;)
OK, back. I actually do nd a nap...so sleepy. Got screwed over there. OIl went up unexpectedly so lost most profits trying to close the s/bs down. Blast! What a waste! I just give up... Yup, figured I'd venture outdoors today and see what else was goin' on. Cant be be bothered with HNR so decided to make a pit stop at SML - can't find my trade. Board seems q nice except for one smart a***e on there. Not a lot happening on FUM- quiet but nice bunch... You can both run all you want. I can run quicker. remember that in the future if you don't want a slap... ''apparent rape?'' hey? So pleased with SML..in profit within an hr. That's a first!! Planning on taking MYN hostage nxt wk-she's cooling already.... Chuckie sold Laird. Bored me to death............ So you've tried hitting dogs too by sound sof it.........?lol WM. Really? Is she??? So I was right.........ficficficfic :)
*runs away*
Respond in few mins-not napping SA- oil's falling again. Busy busy busy... PS You're right, though, Im still sleepy......... Don't think you;re gettiin off lightly w the insults btw.......
have to say i love when autumn returns, every share is suddenly a bagger....got lucky this year with mos too many choices now...
sml - looks like a good buying opportunity...you have been in there for a while ???
how about you...anything new, aside from the apparent rape lol :)
no, just hnr......bit bored in vast now, fingers are itching to sell and put it somewhere else tbh, but i cant see it going lower than that....dogs are too big for me i am afraid, if it bites back, dont slap it-imvho- experience has showed that lol
