Just had my last 2 top ups
By End Month .....
Il stick with the one iv posted as we can have different views / excluding the 12 additional targets – could have an estimated value of around $261m: a conservative estimate given that Gravelotte has historically produced higher value coloured emeralds than those mined in Zambia.
I meant Emerald ..
Just for the record the 10k purchase in black is mine .
My favorite Gem is a Emarld ...
Plunder - that’s sort of the point. If being conservative with numbers you use the lower number not a higher one. Especially if the lower number is the recent one.
OAPK20, that lower price per carat for Gemfields last auction was caused by lower grade production, it looks to me that the Kagem deposit is depleted in the zones that they have been mining and they need to resort to exploration again to find higher grade regions. We have no idea what quality of material will be produced from our mine/process, in that sense it's a lottery, it can be mostly commercial grade, it can be high grade, it can be a mixture or it can be completely junk. Quality is more important than quantity.
Tony why not use March 24 numbers or were they not good enough ?
Highlights: March 2024 - Commercial Quality Emerald Auction
· Total auction revenues of USD 17.1 million
· 43 lots were offered for sale, of which 40 were sold (93%)
· Average price of USD 4.45 per carat
· The 47 auctions of Kagem gemstones held since July 2009 have generated USD 1,006 million in total revenues, reaching the USD 1 billion mark
To put the numbers into perspective, if we conservatively use the average price of $9/ct as achieved by Gemfields in September for its lower-grade emeralds only, then the total contained in situ Jorc resource of 29-million carats has an estimated value of around $261-million,” URA chairperson Edward Nealon explained.
He noted that this figure excluded the additional 168-million to 344-million carats in the company’s Jorc exploration target.
Depends if their going to bid it up again.
Today's drop is on very small volume. Just £13.15k worth sold. It may easily go bak up e.g. tomorrow and continue its rise
Just had to have a very little top up today / I can’t get my head around why anyone would sell when we will be up and running in a few days /
OAPK20 it's not the overhang, it's just gotten a little bit overbought and wants to consolidate. I and some other people were on purpose trying to bid it up, so that's understandable!
Overhang still needs to clear though
Plant is looking great https://twitter.com/ura_plc
One day closer/ was biggest emerald mine in the world
Not for much longer some are taking more interest market cap still very low for the valuation of the mine with proven resources worth hundreds of millions
Nice little upward movement today / nice becoming a daily thing now and most have not even seen this share /
Indeed
Keeping price down again today to fill orders
Not sure why anyone would sell at this silly price/ not many shares in free float/ 100s millions worth of emeralds
This quarter looks on the cards still cheap with what's coming this year
Up 8.33 %
Yes very interesting times the crusher is up and running and the interview from 10 days ago said the optical sorter was being tested so could be any day now production starts
Interesting times for sure this year here short and long term
