failed placing ramp that rns was
This formal extension allows the Company to proceed with finalising a schedule for drilling and testing the NJOM-3 well.
Would it not have been a better use of time to assume the extension and finalise the schedule so that when an extension appears you can release a real RNS instead of waiting for an extension before finalising? They should have been finalising a schedule in all these dead months else it begs the question on how JA and Co have been filling their time. Just a thought and they may surprise a fool like me eventually.
But for some real news which does have implications for Total and perhaps TRP down the very long, getting longer road, this https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.engineeringnews.co.za/article.php%3fa_id=584151&rep_id=5581
How is that news? Treating shareholders like we can't read by not releasing news and then releasing repeated waffle wrapped up as news, is a waste of time and energy in both writing and reading it. I suggest JA focus on delivering on promises and leave RNS to actual news not fluff to fill an empty pie, or if that fluff is the actual pie then to simply say! Honestly! Will walk off this stink and convince myself it isn't part of a stench and try and see if I can find some more patience. That will be news!
“We are looking forward to seeing the NJOM-3 well drilled as soon as possible, and we will have more news for investors about the schedule in due course."
Good news but I would prefer some actual time scales as opposed to “as soon as possible” and “in due course”.
Yep, skin of teeth here too.
Hopefully, JA isn't wearing a false set!
Either way, we will only know when they release some news for some hard facts.
Small to mid caps don’t have the spare capital or technical resources to take it on. There’s no chance. Cameroon is also way to small to interest a Major. Namibia has more chance.
Holding with my teeth
I’m waiting for almost 3 years now for this drill to come up
don't make me laugh. small to mid caps more likely to get involved imo.
I think they should give up on Thali it’s a dead duck as the only companies capable of taking it on are the Majors and they clearly are no longer interested. Focus should be on Namibia and a farmout.
Yes this farce has gone on long enough!
Time for some action JA !
Makes you wonder. I hope it makes JA wonder too and further hope he does not come out with an extension of another extension of another extension of a license as a cause for celebratory news in pat-on-the-back fashion. He and his NEW, EXPERIENCED team need to start delivering on the talk. PR copy won't wash after the other hog.
Looks like next thing will be the annual accounts to 31.12.2020, 2019 was posted in RNS on 11 June.
Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.
Looks like it may start a good rally next week
1p by june still on? drilling soon ?
Cameroon has always been a distraction IMO. Too small and majors have had a look and left . They are hardly likely to be enticed back in today’s cynical world by third rate technical teams from AimWhere are you getting this notion that TRP are looking for a major to Jv on Thali ? Majors relinquished it many years ago in a different economic environment. I read it as a 0 to 4 or 8000 boepd project where the 2 likely partners will produce the hell out of it for 3 to 5 yrs and use the cashflow as a stepping stone. like Afren did starting out or Mart resources. I view it as a waiting game for TRP . straight to 4k boepd could be v.nice timing if oil is headed for 80 to 100$
