picked up few more at 164p
Fall clearly results based with some extra from general SVB fall out. Note bgcp was down 0.2% yesterday not 6 or 7%.
Liquinet doesn't look good which is a worry. Rest look ok.. but voice so like those SVB deposits priced down as flighty.
Don't think the drop is specific to the results. All Financials are being hit hard again today following the SVB fallout. This is going to require some patience.
Ok had to grab a few more!
Thanks drugged city
Ok and it opens down?
Ridiculous
The city boys probably all on drugs
They so thick it beggars belief
Over £2 today I think
yes very good results ,could be in the green today
31% increase in dividend nice
7.9p
Excellent results!
I just want a good dividend
Down -5% on general sell of in the markets triggered by higher interest rate expectations in the US.
I am expecting though good results as the macro environment is good for Tcap. They been doing well with interest rate and bond trading. One can only hope that cost cutting measures and in general, companys turnaround plan puts it into profitability more firmly. That is the only question and hopefully TCap is making headway on that.
Tree shake ahead of results next week. Barely any sellers. Tells you everything you need to know.
results next week
recovering very nicely
Quite a move on USD.
Up 1.6% against GBP.
Yes nice ride up from 119p, popping £2 Monday and more. Have been trimming holding rest for gold. Dip buying, very comfortable.
Quiet on here. Surprisingly so as this looks ready to go.
Chunky buying again today. Looking good.
even better today and my star performer is EMG
better day today
The whole data sales piece showed a distinct lack of knowledge of how these buisnesses work by the press and implied valuations.
Yes data sales carry a huge contribution to the bottom line of IDB's but only as they get their raw data for free from the IDB's broking desks, trading systems etc.
If sold... It' has no data to sell on. It then needs to buy from old co the data one presumes which in turn takes a huge knock on the valuation, total reliance on one counterparty, reduced profit margins etc etc. It's no surprise any sale has been called off.
Looks like some serious stakebuilding going on this morning.
I think one just has to decide whether estimates of earnings are going to be met, approximately 22p for 2022 and moving up a bit in 2023, with a dividend of around 11p. Then one had to decide whether an historic pe of under 8 is cheap or expensive. The volatility in markets should allow for estimates to at least be met but one can never be certain. The pe is one of the lowest one can find and the yield one of the highest.
More likely a rise to 230 when results are issued....
Do you think it will drop to under 130 as I would love more of this stock as it as a great dividend
Personally, I don't think the management team have done themselves any favours in remaining silent. I would have expected an RNS this morning, simply acknowledging the media reports about failed negotiations regarding the sale of the data division, but reassuring investors they have a clear strategy to realise shareholder value. By remaining silent, they look weak and removed from investors concerns. I wouldn't be surprised if the share price drifts until the Finals. They better be good, otherwise Phase 2 and other institutional investors will be sharpening their knives!!
