Surely a heron would not have snatched to 2 Koi while the net was off and I took Poppy up the rec for an hour?
Seems to be no sign of them or the dead fish that was on the lawn yesterday.
It would have been nice to have saved those 2 but at least SXX did not drop like a stone today. Just waiting to see what TOU do on ASX after the mining sector took a hit last night in Australia. Tlou lost some ground on AIM and that too may have suffered more.
I see there was an uncrossing trade of 1.4M shares today, I wonder if that reflects upon my late one of a similar size after close last night?
here is a great video - from one of my undeleted threads :O)

Only the front shield which has a larger diameter is left in situ. The remainder is dismantled and sold back to suppliers.
" ... and they get buried at the end of use. Just like the Channel tunnel ones did"
I think that's not quite right; the south-going machines were buried (and are still in service, providing an electrical earth) while the north-going machines continued on through and were then dismantled and extracted.

That is interesting. My understanding was that almost all of the TBMs will be removed at the end of the job. I guess it will depend on any potential value of the used parts.
I wouldn’t expect anyone connected to the company to suggest that two or maybe one TBM would be sufficient. But the potential opportunity must be one for the back pocket.

Old rascal tbm
Evening guy s . After a long walk round May beck . Next door to wood Smith . I called in at the drop in . Was made very welcome by the SM staff .
I was told the plan is 3 tbm s and they get buried at the end of use. Just like the Channel tunnel ones did . For local people it was more to get across that there will be a structure seen from surrounding area. For temporary winding gear.
And that the Galloway deck in operation will use Explosives to break it way down and across..
Hope that helps.
OR, that was what I was alluding too in my earlier post though you put it far more eloquently than I did lol.
It would be a great position to be in if we did only require the 2 TBM's but I guess time will tell on that front..!
Fingers crossed
I doubt that Stella Rose would be removed and redeployed. It is more likely, imo, that she will continue towards Woodsmith, possibly all the way but perhaps to meet up with the TBM from Woodsmith. The 3rd TBM wouldn’t then be needed and could be sold to another project. Maybe anyone who is going to the public event tonight could ask although, I doubt anything would be said on record. We have a plan to use 3 x TBMs and that is good enough until an opportunity to reduce arises.

Hi Myo
Taking into account that the other TBMs have been ordered can we allow for any substantial cost savings should we end up using only two in total?
Thanks Myo
Ah, so 3 TBM's have already been ordered, I hadn't picked up on that, kinda puts my theory out of the window lol.
As always thank you for filling in the gaps Myo
Might be a daft question, but since people are again speculating about Stella doing a second drive, do we actually know what distance the cutting heads are designed for? And what about other internal components. Basically, do we actually know if Stella doing a second drive is realistically feasible, and where did this idea originated from (ie has someone from the company mentioned it off the record at an AGM etc, or has the idea just originated from this discussion board)?
Many thanks yet again Myo, the "little detail" on the website hasn't enough granularity but I will certainly check out the Prospectus.
I am trying to gauge whether there is time in the Programme to get down to the required 350m and get associated works complete to get Stella Rose #2 chewing her way back to Lockwood Beck and possibly beyond so that only 2 TBM's are required and both could achieve 1½ Drives apiece.
This would not only potentially accelerate the MTS Element of the Programme but mean instead of both the MTS Construction and Main Shaft Sink completing Mid 2022, allow for a bit of breathing space from the MTS finishing earlier.
I should have added a Baseline Programme, a current Programme would obviously be commercially sensitive..!
Thanks
Hi Myo, is there a Project Plan within the Sirius Website do you know and if so could you possibly point me in the right direction please..?
Thanks in advance

Morning Myo,
What, in your opinion is the optimum distance per day that Stella-rose has potential to reach when staff are fully trained up?
Good morning Myosotis,
You don’t think someone may have been talking his book do you?
I got myself in a spot of bother suggesting such previously!
