...of selling
I know that you guys on here don't know me, I've been in this stock for over five years, it ws my first and like so many others I have lumped on it at every opportunity. I have learnt the hard way not put my shirt on just one asset but again like so many I became emotionally attached and was convinced that the project would be a success.
Since buying into Sirius my interest in the market has grown and I now have a more diverse portfolio as I began to realise I was way to exposed with so much in just one stock.
I read this board every day and of course my opinion has been swayed by some of the posters I have deemed credible and along with bouncing the senarios off financial cohorts it's with heavy heart that I think I may cut and run with a loss of 78% @ 5.4p.
I dont see what Sharessoc can do, I am pretty pragmatic, I had a punt, it's not worked out. As much as I stamp my feet and sream "It's not fair" I can't imagine anyone listening and I worry that the longer this situation is not resolved the higher the risk of getting less than 5.5 or possibly nothing. I suspect some underhand dealings in all this and am gutted where we have ended up, but we are where we are and have to face reality.
I am open to listen to counter arguments so I would welcome any input from you guys.
I hoped Sirius was gonna get me that Yaht in Monaco but as my best mate said the other day we'll be lucky to buy a pedalo in Peasholme Park.

IBAB you are so right, this I have learnt
May I ask your opinion?
Sell all, Sell half or hold?
What bid was that IBAB?
IBAB totoally understand that, and I did not expect a definative answer from you, however, your response still helpful and I thank you for that.
I have read and digested your posts with interest, along with a few others and yes I will make my own mind up, without that crystal ball
Cheers all
Big difference as you know. Don’t flash at a hot spoon ;-)
Don’t flash at a hot spoon ;-)

Lmao. ;-)) Even a white hot one that’s melting the flesh on the back of your neck? ;-))
You know the rules. Non-emotional! Ha. Makes you good at swallowing pain ;-)
Take the 5.5p offer and invest elsewhere!
The gravy train has ran out of steam!!!
Dodger I assume you are speaking tongue in cheek?
Illbetabuck “Failure is something to be enjoyed, because you never learn from success”
Illbetabuck you have to be a successful human being in the first place to learn anything - I’m a severely disabled veteran who stands to lose £220,000 of my compensation from this little episode - I’ve been in situations where you’d run away and hide in a toilet stuffing s’’t in your ears so the noise stops. You disgusting little worm.....
Yellow. Do you have other holdings or did you just go big with SXX? that is a material amount of money you bet.
Tex - I’m afraid I listened to mr CF too often ..
Very sorry to hear that.
Unfortunately, the Sxx story is not unique and as has been stated before ANY company can fail over night hence the need for broad diversification of investments. In the case of SXX it was always classified as a high risk venture.
I know this is on no value given where we are, but hopefully you can come out the other side ok.
Sad situation for many shareholders who bought in here without understanding the inherent risks. That said, your expectation was probably to make multiple millions and the sort of multiples people were expecting naturally come with a high risk attached.
Hi Tex ...no I had saved the money in all sorts of schemes and had a financial advisor lose me some, so it was gradually loosing its value due to mr Osborn and Carney.
I saw Sirius as somewhere to invest for the long term in a part of our country which needed regeneration which would give me a return and help others!
Yellow - again, very sorry for your situation and I hope you come out the other end ok.
Thanks Tex - I’m thinking of getting out and waiting to see what
happens.
Taking 5.4 pence at the moment appears better than seeing this
figure get any lower . If there’s a better offer then I’ll miss out on that ,
But it’s better than losing it all.
Then if a strategic partner appears on the scene, or funding comes
along- then I’ll get back in again to make back my loss

Everyone’s situation is different. Good luck with what you decide works best for you, Yellow.
Tex obviously the silence from the company is difficult to handle -
what do you think the prognosis is...
Impossible to say yellow. You just have to formulate a view based on what we know via the official channels.
My view is it’s going to go down the route of 5.5p. If a new bidder comes in then maybe it’s 6p or 6.5p??? Not 10p or 15p since the BoD have said 5.5p is a good price.
In terms of dodgers view of finance being raised, I personally don’t see it. There is an offer of 5.5p which is low due to the perceived risk, no other bidders on the scene, why would financial partners suddenly see this as a de-risked project and invest?Nothing has changed over the last 3 months and no one has stepped up to date
Again, if there were credible financing discussions in the background, why would the BoD be recommending 5.5p
The mine will get built and in 5 years time no one will remember this situation and what happened to the original PIs. Sad but true. All IMO of course :-)
