Sold out today. The risk of going back to 405p and the wait is far greater to me than further upside which I think will be limited anyway. Watch SIG soar now on a renewed bid. :)
Good evening ILIKEHOUSE. Not so in the case of SIG as the board do not have a controlling interest. If they did it would be game over when coming to vote on acceptance. The SP is still well above so another bid is expected by the market. Another bid would be hostile now as not supported I assume by the Board but if it trumps the current offer in cash it will certainly be accepted.
Hi falling knife,
I thought they said in the news the offer by Stansted owner was accepted so it's final right?
Morning Ilikehouse. Good question. The market expects another offer as the agreed bid is only 405p but the SP is now 445p. I was going to sell some on Friday but as I saw some renewed strength I had a feeling that something was in the air. Worth holding on for a little while for holders like myself to see if this flushes out another bidder as the market says is likely. Howver I would question how much more of a premium is possible on the current SP and am tempted to take profits myself within a week.

Hi everyone,
Is this still a buy at these levels to benefit from further upside due to more/ bid hopes?
Thanks

Yes I'm holding too for the same reason. The Blackstone bid is in USD, I think it's $517 a share , so we are subject to swinging currency valuations but as you say the SP is holding above the converted price and the market seems to be expecting a higher offer, we'll see fingers crossed.............
But SP is above bid of £3.81p so SIG still in play until February. I will hold for now to see if a bidding war emerges.
Bid is only for £3.80 ...
Pitched around the same levels and no concrete offer so no surprise to see investors take flight this morning. A bidding war may yet emerge of course but there is downside risk too. I might sell half mine as a hedge.
Looks like we have a bidding war on our hands!

Is this going to be like sky and G4S ie keep going up for some time due to 2 or more interested parties engaging in a bidding war?

It’s not often that a first offer is accepted, a revised offer or counter offer from the likes of Mr Gates is very possible.
The only way is up once today’s news has been digested.
IMO only.
Sold as well I'm afraid, a good profit is not to be sneezed at, best of luck all what ever you decide.
Just sold at 380 - if my other shares are anything to go by, they will sky rocket now so I would hold on :) I am happy with the profit I have made - Good luck everyone
Funny that so do I, can't call it so I'm no help, am I just being greedy???
Tempting but I keep looking at all the blue buys!!

Thanks Biill G for posting. Love the work you do in computing and stick with it. I am sure you will succeed.
there are significant buys at 373 so some people must think there will be a counter offer!
I was looking at this company this morning and was interested in the fact Bill gates had bought in, managed to get at 350.
Good luck to all you LTH
Haha - I was just going to write the same comment!! Think there has to be a possibility
Wonder if Global will come back with a counter.

I hope so Obelix - Happy Christmas
Next year will be good for us Guys..
It would have dropped when it went ex Div not when paid... saying that I wish I had sold first thing but was travelling!
Will it drop 20% as the dividend has been paid today

I don't understand the fall in the share price. Surely private jets will be used more than ever.

New-to-market, I'm almost there. Break even point could be this week for me.
With the dividend added to todays price I am about 4% up so will keep for a while as I think the normal div is worth keeping for
Morning Mate,
Sorry for my delayed to answer to you, was busy yesterday at UNI
Looks like we will be good by end of the week.

Hope break even this week for me. How is your portfolio? I hope you're well.
Have a nice day, take care.

Q! Results looking good
that post in July just before gold rose a bit.Which seems to have hit the sales of SIG shares to investors somewhat. I didn't get in after all. However still a very successful company, will not have any real worries. GL
If I had any money I'd get in this lol.
Gold price down-people buy more jewellery. Gold price up,they still want it for the chance to own,it seems to work for this company.Real estate angle too-owning more properties in the US. And paying dividends.Of course there was a dip there but it recovered yet again. WGB,,MOSB and SIG,the rich people doing business. GL
didn't realise this was a club lol
is this a red hot buying chance ?
they all did lol
