...on Tuesday 21 Sep.
Sold out today. The risk of going back to 405p and the wait is far greater to me than further upside which I think will be limited anyway. Watch SIG soar now on a renewed bid. :)
Good evening ILIKEHOUSE. Not so in the case of SIG as the board do not have a controlling interest. If they did it would be game over when coming to vote on acceptance. The SP is still well above so another bid is expected by the market. Another bid would be hostile now as not supported I assume by the Board but if it trumps the current offer in cash it will certainly be accepted.
Hi falling knife,
I thought they said in the news the offer by Stansted owner was accepted so it's final right?
Morning Ilikehouse. Good question. The market expects another offer as the agreed bid is only 405p but the SP is now 445p. I was going to sell some on Friday but as I saw some renewed strength I had a feeling that something was in the air. Worth holding on for a little while for holders like myself to see if this flushes out another bidder as the market says is likely. Howver I would question how much more of a premium is possible on the current SP and am tempted to take profits myself within a week.
Hi everyone,
Is this still a buy at these levels to benefit from further upside due to more/ bid hopes?
Thanks
Yes I'm holding too for the same reason. The Blackstone bid is in USD, I think it's $517 a share , so we are subject to swinging currency valuations but as you say the SP is holding above the converted price and the market seems to be expecting a higher offer, we'll see fingers crossed.............
But SP is above bid of £3.81p so SIG still in play until February. I will hold for now to see if a bidding war emerges.
Bid is only for £3.80 ...
Pitched around the same levels and no concrete offer so no surprise to see investors take flight this morning. A bidding war may yet emerge of course but there is downside risk too. I might sell half mine as a hedge.
Looks like we have a bidding war on our hands!

Looking good risen to over £4 now, Blackstone bid at £3.86 with board recommendation I'd assumed it would trade around that level, looks like there is another party interested perhaps? Sorry if I've missed who it is, can't see any info in the share news
so the market expects a higher offer to emerge. Always nice when two companies are chasing an asset. Not a slam dunk of course but hopefully the rising SP will prompt an offer before time runs out.
Is this going to be like sky and G4S ie keep going up for some time due to 2 or more interested parties engaging in a bidding war?
It’s not often that a first offer is accepted, a revised offer or counter offer from the likes of Mr Gates is very possible.
The only way is up once today’s news has been digested.
IMO only.
Sold as well I'm afraid, a good profit is not to be sneezed at, best of luck all what ever you decide.
Just sold at 380 - if my other shares are anything to go by, they will sky rocket now so I would hold on :) I am happy with the profit I have made - Good luck everyone
Funny that so do I, can't call it so I'm no help, am I just being greedy???
Tempting but I keep looking at all the blue buys!!
Who has got their finger on the sell button, like me! !! Tempting isn't it or hold for more???
Thanks Biill G for posting. Love the work you do in computing and stick with it. I am sure you will succeed.
I wonder if he would like to but into some of the covid testing companies I hold! ! !!
They need some help and so di I.
Thankfully I have a small holding here!!
Stay safe dyor all in my opinion etc
there are significant buys at 373 so some people must think there will be a counter offer!
He has done well then!!!
I was looking at this company this morning and was interested in the fact Bill gates had bought in, managed to get at 350.
Good luck to all you LTH
