Hi, I bought some last week, lloyds rushed them through, I thought the lady on the phone said 60 odd thousand shares for around £180 but no she said 695. Had an on going debate, where I've rung 3 times with no reply and people on the call centre don't have a clue. If they are 28p it mean that there previous 5 year all time high was a staggering £125 per share, also the trades don't make any sense. really confused too, Let me know if you find anything out if anyone elese can help us!! please do...
I just tried to buy a few on barclays ... says the share price is 26.32p ?!?!? what is going on #!
i have no cash left to put in here lol . . sold vog last week to free up money to put in bhr. . . i just hope this stays reasonably low for a while so that i can make some money to get in. Whats your opinion on the timescale this will take to rise even a few pence maz?
Get in now before anyone else realises! You've done your research and I concur.
Is it just me or are these incredibly undervalued? They have a portfolio value of 1.455 billion euros, with the recovery of the property sector imminent once the recession is over , as long as they don't sell a load (which surely they wouldn't) , the value can only increase. Aslo the value of the properties will be significantly increased by refurbishments taking place in the year from june 2009. After renovations, as pomander said, the rental income will rise and help to pay off the debt.. . http://www.speymilldeutsche.com/pdf/SDIC_2009_Full_year_results.pdf i'm not sure to wait for the interim before i invest or just get into it now while the price is so low !
With all this snow around, I have taken opportunity to research some new stocks & I came across SDIC. Trading at a huge discount (circa 70%) to NAV and having just started to emerge from the worst recession and fall in property prices since the the 1930,s this stock represents superb value. I was confused by the drop earlier in the year but I think the business model was mis-understood by the market, plus it had a good run and looks as though some profit taking took place. The vacancy rate fell, as far as I can see, because the company was undertaking a huge fully cash funded renovation programme. With that nearing completion, rental income will rise as will NAV. This stock must double at least, if not, I suspect it will not be long before it comes onto the radar of a predator as there is huge unlooked value from what I can see. Can't be many better opportunities around at the moment.
Got to be the worst sell of the month if not the year. What a silly person IMO GL Rigger.
by more than 2/3 of the SP??????
Does anybody know what caused the huge drop between14th Sept to 13 Nov 2007, as shown on the chart?
Mixed bag as far as I'm concerned, increase in the vacany rate is the biggest dissappointment for me. Do wonder if the vacancy rate has increased due to the standard of accommodation, which has forced their hand to extend the refurbishment programme. NAV down, but should rise next year as the refurbs are completed. Not much news on how many properties have been refurbished, unless I missed it. Still an excellent long term hold in my opinion, happy to be alongside Mellon, he doesn't make to many gaffs. If the SP holds anywhere around 38-40 this year (cents) I'd be happy. Set myself an initial target of 1 Euro by the end of 2011.
http://www.speymilldeutsche.com/news-item?item=268830593024078 Share price bit down, not sure this was deemed as great news?
Yep your right, ta, most of my others are in £ so I lost the plot for a moment on euros vs £ (done that twice now !, old age LOL) ! Yes, like to see a nice firm up this week
There already. Buys going through at 41.75 cents, looking good for tomorrow. Good volume, 378,000 traded on LSE which with the exception of a single trade of 4,000 appear to be all buys. 10 trades on Plus totalling 60,413, all buys.
Well I hope I see 40p before the next two years, being as the mid price is currently 37.16p. I obviously meant 40 cents, you do know the price is in Euros dont you.
You mean 0.4 :) (I'd love to see 40p though, may in next 2 years!)
Its been a good start to the week so far. Looks like this will top 40 prior to the update on Thursday.
Thanks for your post & opinion. I felt that RGI would fall soon after their previous results, profit takers and no expected news for the coming future, in fact they dipped soon after as expected but have made that ground and more since. There does seem to be a lot of support for this Company, somewhere not here probably Russia :) Yes I believe Germany were the first to announce that they were out of the recession, although I believe three months of growth is required first? So in theory they will be first to show growth over most sectors. I have a substantial holding with SDIC and expect a build up prior to their news on 15th and then a gradual clime north!
I think the point is about positive income compared to value. SDIC have money in the bank, assets which were bought for less than the cost of new builds and an increasing rental yield ( it has increased from 50 mil to 75 mil) I agree with you that OTE will have upside but not this side of next XMAS until debts are sorted and they can get their tenants to pay market value for their rental properties instead of tenants negotiating big discounts to stop themselves going out of business. GL anyway Fortune favours the brave. Rigger.
Suggest you both take a look at MCAU Same parent company as SDIC but focussed in Chinas rich mans playground. I think your take on RGI is accurate but know the management plan to make big bucks over the next 3-5 years and intend to return divis to the shareholders in that timescale as the management hold half of the shares through a holding company. GL Rigger.
Been invested in this share for a number of months, I’ve averaged up a few times and taken profit at times am currently holding out at 20% up. I've done exactly the same with a similar amounts on a Russian development company RGI and am currently 106% up, be interesting to see what your opinion of RGI is?
Managed to get in yesterday, dealt at best and got a very fair price. Just to list a few points that helped make my decision to invest. Portfolio value was only down 0.7% at December 2008, so even allowing for a slight drop in the first half of this year, we now know the German property market values have since risen. Nav 1.03 euros, current SP 34 cents Earliest debt maturity late 2013, average debt length 5.4 years 38 million uncomitted cash. Quality existing portfolio Refurbisment project due to be completed July 2009, so expect confimation of this along with a vacancy reduction Net profit at last update 15.6 million euros. Shortfall on demand of housing in 2008 in Germany of 250,000 Large percentage population increase expected in Germany over the coming years. German housing market undervalued by 5% compared with other developed countries. Germany has yet to have a property boom Update due 15th October I reckon this is a great long term hold that will also see a good short term gain.
Many thanks also.
Many thanks for your assistance. Will ring again and hopefully get a different broker, the one I spoke to said they are currently unable to trade the share. Looked at SRE and found the research and the tip excellent. Going to try and get in here first as I believe with results imminent this could move quickly. Missed the last rise on SRE and it appears to be holding at present. Dont want to over commit in the sector, already in IERE, CAL & WKP Thanks again Rgeards
Spiritfinder how did you buy your shares if you don't mind me asking. The only way I can trade with Barclays is to place an order at best, which I can't place a limit on. Don't really like placing orders at best, though like you I'm looking long term, just dont want to be ripped off and see a trade go through at 40. At present the shares are classed as invalid for trade on Barclays, so not even allowing an approximate quote over the phone. I notice a 900k Broker to Broker trade has gone through this morning, so one way or the other this looks ready to shift at pace. Any single trade that goes through is affecting the price. Thanks
