(Alliance News) - Scapa Group PLC on Tuesday said its first quarter performance is in line with board expectations, with growth in its Healthcare and Industrial units.
Shares in Scapa were up 3.5% at 171.40 pence in morning trade.
At its annual general meeting, Larry Pentz, chair of the bonding and adhesive-based products manufacturer, will announce 48% reported growth in Healthcare revenue and 4.5% in Industrial revenue. Total revenue growth for the quarter ended June 30 was 22% and 18% at constant currency.
On a continuing basis, Scapa revenue growth was 19% and on an organic basis, excluding its acquisitions of Systagenix and revenue from ConvaTec - which terminated its master supply agreement with Scapa in June.
"The integration and consolidation projects are proceeding according to plan and the company continues to seek additional opportunities to deliver long-term sustainable growth," Scapa said.
"The board considers Scapa to be well positioned to make further progress against its strategic objectives and remains confident in the group's outlook," the company added.

Just bought more @171p
Hoping to see SP back above 200p soon
check it out
now 168.27 - 169.58 up 2%
Ominous number of trades on Friday, 666. Should I be worried :(
Good Luck halfpenny, I bailed last week, 30,000 shares @ 173... I couldn't quantify the possible loss V the dividend gain.. you are aware it approx. 1.5%... its almost did that today... Just had a feeling that when the 20ma crossed the 50ma, it would decline and it did.. like you I was hopeful of a massive retrace but I think the fibs won the day... unless we get news this could be a roller coaster....
Ex divi 25th July payment made on 23rd August, I've just lowered my sp average this afternoon by buying on the dips. I'll continue to do so next week too on any price weakness.
The dividend is raised 21% to 2.9p per share which I guess isn't bad for my average holding at 175p per share.
Might be worth picking some up for dividend?
The SP might revisit the lows of last month at this rate?
Something may emerge from the AGM next week?
I can't answer that question with any certainty, but personally I have added at 166 and 172.
Drifting aimlessly, get the pun AIMlessly :):):)
