Increased shareholding by 75%(from 1,000,000 to 1,750,000), reducing the average s/p paid, to s/p@9.04p approx (if memory serves me well, the first 1,000,000, were bought at s/p@12p).
Yep, see it as a vote of confidence, myself.
BW
Little or no shares were traded at 5.10 on any dates previous to the purchase of 750k ... and i dont think that the Chairman would have being buying in batches of 50/100 thousand ....IMO
He could have gathered up the shares in multiple transactions. I'd say it's correct as stated. It's the first vote of confidence from the board almost ever (though at £40k he's not exactly betting the farm).

'there was'...
'they' meaning Providence
I would imagine the document is a pdf file formulated at Providence and shared with the regulatory authority...
So I'd imagine the boneheads in Providence got it wrong!
I'd be checking if they gave the correct bank details to the Chinese(:
Now I could be wrong as well but as Rocklawn saw there was only 1 trade of 750k on the 18th and that was at 5.85 and not 5.10.I would imagine they were alot of paperwork for the capital raise and had brain fart.
Bronx....Who are "they"?
But they couldn't even get the transaction price right on the filing..
What does that tell ya!
Thank Manyana.
It would seem that PP is confident that Barryroe will go ahead one way or another.
I just checked with Morningstar (previously Hemscott) who say he had the 1m shares as of this morning before this deal went through.
On that basis, Pat Plunkett is currently holding 1.75m shares and not 750,000.

Anovas,
The closed period is 60 days before the AGM and the financial results so technically he was entitled to buy since it was after the AGM which was on the 12th.

He is said to have bought them on 18th but of note is the statement that he now owns 750,0000 shares but what happened to the one million shares he bought just after joining the board? It stated then that "The Company announces that Mr. Pat Plunkett (Non-Executive Director & Chairman) has purchased 1,000,000".
Has he sold them or does he now hold 1.75m shares?
Let the hare lie !
Remember that TOR said that majors had shown interest in taking APEC's place.
Plunkett must have been aware of the details when he bought these shares.
The date on the transaction clearly states 18/09..
Quelle Surprise!
I'd say your spot on Rocklawn..
The price is shown as .051p .... but on the 18/09 no shares traded at that price but a trade went through at 9.24am for 750000 @.0585p .....showing as a sell... so have they got the price wrong ??.. just an observation before any one bits me....
Manyana...got it from an RNS.
I would have thought that he would not be allowed to buy any shares at this time because of the current situation with regards to the money from APEC.
Yes, he bought in the market because the shares he bought are the 10p ordinary.
This might indicate that the money has come through because he cannot be accused of insider trading because O'Reilly has stated that the money is on the way. As they say "a wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse".
Happy RNS tomorrow?
I see it has just come up on the RNS.
This cannot be part of the capital because the new shares have not been issued so he must have bought these in the market. The new shares will not start trading if they are diluted at the EGM before next week.

Where did you see that Anovas? In Director's dealings perhaps.
Even if it is part of the capital raise it still shows a level of confidence.
Please stop hoping TOR is for the birds. He has a contract until next year's AGM at which he is sure to be reappointed on his famous contract.
It was part of the capital raise....
But good to know..
Cionn said Tony is out the door the APEC money doesn't come in..Maybe Pat's the new man.
Hopefully!
PP has just purchased 750,000 shares!!!
