Shame but not very likely this would be a good investment. I walked away, & when I revisit, I'm glad I did. Like an old girlfriend one might sometimes see, standing on a corner late one evening.
More big buys, someone is trading as if the company is going to move on from here. Let's hope so, a little positive update would help us to make some steady progress north. Any insight anyone? I remain a believer!
Nice to see some positivity (purchases) for a change. It seems good value at todays price.
It means he was given them as part of his remuneration package and they were being held in the employee benefits scheme, so he (in fact they, as there were 2 directors benefiting). They had to achieve certain targets to get them, so they did just that!! (just like David Moyes - he would have had a clause in his contract - win the Champions league cup and the bonus will be XXXXX with loads of 0's, seems like he forgot one of the details though!!). Good luck if you are invested here.
what does transfer of shares mean?
I see Ian Dorrity now holds 17 million shares in PVCS , that sounds like a ringing endorsement to me . Can't go to the AGM but if anyone can could they report back please. PV should be good for any spare cash st these prices. As usual DYOR and then buy!!
hi. agreed..+ve comments in Investors Chronicle today probably helping too...
Last weeks figures seem to be setting things moving in the right direction. NB. Market Cap of 48 million and cash In the bank of about 30 million this share must have a long way to go. Good luck holders!
wow I totaly forgot about this share, I was tempted to buy it before they got the court ruling and its done really well since then! Oh well we cant hold them all lol
seems very promising ,should move forward from here.
PROFITABLE WITH RISING REVENUE!!!! Great news! Now needs to keep this going with 2-3 years. 2014 looks good already with extra orders. Solar energy is generally doing quite well around the world.
Well done to PVCS! So much for the amateur hack who reported doom and gloom last WE. He should now retire end get a job in a history or research centre, as he was printing history with NO research. What is the next stage for PVCS a dividend! Am I now being greedy? GL all , a bumpy ride in parts but never really in doubt as the board have done really well, and as I said last week they have been up front and honest. I hope the people at Bittersfeld also do well as they took a bit of a gamble. Onwards and upwards for the share price - who knows we can only hope.

Totally agree with all your comments Debs and looking forward to what the board say this week.
Just a foot note. The PVCS board have always been honest and upfront, and you can't say that about many of them. They have never tried to hide behind innuendos or shadows.
This drop is based on a newspaper article from over the w/e, it is old and outdated news, this just gives another buying opportunity! The solar wafer and China issues are history and not important now, the industry is in a new phase and in my opinion with PVCS up near the front. Why reporters think they should be able to make a living printing old and incorrect news I will never know. Just amateurs I guess! The 2013 figures may not be brilliant but the co. has rebuilt a new base and must be cash generative again, with wafer prices on the increase. GLA
The news just gets better. G L all.
Looks like PVCS are coming back to life, and the share price is in the upward trend.
Sorry - 'had not picked that one up' re Schroders . (Fat fingers)
Reaching new three year high's again today, let's hope it is all based on good onfo. and not just a punt. Always rated the company / product / environmental aspect but never had a capital gain from the share although had good dividends way in the past. Interesting about Schroders chocdrop, I hand' picked that one up. End of year updates soon so let's hope for good numbers. GLA
A major solar producer in China is about to default. This is a major positive for PVCS. It will force a round of consolidation and closures in the over-supplied Chinese market. It should disrupt global supply and polysilica prices have already been rising in recent months in anticipation of this event. Schroders have been building a position and I guess this accounts for a good proportion of the recent SP rise. I hope the purchasers are the deep value/recovery team at Schroders. It's their kind of situation. They're clever and where they go others in the market will undoubtably follow...
2.5 year highs today, 38p next stop the opening level post the warning in June 2008. Trading today feels like it was tipped "again" Mkt cap still only £43m Earnings due 20th March should be interesting
seems to be on the move
Some big trades today. Wonder whats cooking?!??
Looking good for the future, expect a shift up in share price in the next few weeks.
