Kilgeever your an ass don't be surprised when people are an ass back!
Truly remarkable. You make a number of assumptions about me, my lifestyle and my moral integrity though we have never met.
You know nothing about my work, my Charity , my level of privilege nor my relationship with those in real need.
Such folly to judge blindly. And quite worrying.
Hahaha Kilgee... yeah because you have a nice house and govt paying you benefits or furlough so you just want to stay in the house and burn that cash which is the result of this frenzy, if you really do care, you would be worries about ppl who will die of poverty, classic privileged behaviour.
Kilgeever, please tell what the Hopkins data is based on? .... those tested and those which have died. In each Country, there are massive disparities / abilities in both areas. If I need to explain more, then ... !!
Kilgeever, I hardly think he was saying that. How about the hundreds of millions which could starve to death through poverty .. does that not concern you?!!
With regard a vaccine, you do realise that flu still kills between 250k and 1 million per year, even with a vaccine. The vaccine which needs to be changed each year is only between 12-60% effective. The only infectious disease which we have eradicated is smallpox.
ArcHunter. Excuse my confusion.
Are you suggesting John Hopkins university produces worthless data? If so perhaps 1. You could elaborate. 2. You could collect, collate and disseminate relevant data with projections. And 3. Explain why a highly regarded university should be disregarded while you should be listened to.
This board has some worrying trends.
Kraken. Clearly you are being provocative through boredom or you actually have the virus and wish others to share your experiences.
I find it difficult to believe that anyone can wish people to suffer and in thousands of cases, die miserable deaths.
I assume you have given up hope of an effective vaccine being produced.
Do you have close family? Parents? Children? Siblings? Good friends?
I'm shocked.
Take a look at New York, a heck of a lot got it and now they are moving forward where the other states aren't. It is a horrible virus and deadly for some and that I don't deny, but the Hopkins data needs to be removed as far as I am concerned ...it's worse than a very bad guess!!!
The US reports lots of COVID parties to catch it and get it over and done with, that’s probably the quickest way to put it behind us.
Down, hospital cases in the UK are about 100k.... as an estimated 5% would ever need hospital (let alone care homes and people that never made it), that's 2 million alone who have had it / have it in this Country alone. Hopkins data is useless, it really is. Roll out the antibody test nationwide!!
True same here, i lost smell and taste in feb as well, they kept telling me they cant test me but did tell me to isolate. Because these kids were given sheets with only 2 symptoms, cough and/or shortness of breath.
Hopkins data is just meaningless ...it is a fraction of a percentage of the likely real figure. An article written a while ago now in the WSJ believed the true figure could be 50-85 times greater. I am pretty certain that my wife and child had it in February, but without access to the antibody test, we will probably never know.
exactly. only 0.12% but to get to herd immunity it needs every 2 out of 3 people to have it. 0.12% is alof of people who can spread C-19.
what i don't know is are those numbers from Hopkins Uni (confirmed cases) are those people who have had the virus and many of those may have recovered by now?
that link i posted. if you click on bottom left corner "daily cases" maybe that is a more important to monitor.
Not a big percentage (about 0.12% )when we have 7.5 billion people on the planet and it’s been around almost a year
Most ppl have 1st world country goggles on, they dont understand that there are billions of ppl who live in countries that heavily rely on their exports to 1st world countries, if the wheels stop, billions of ppl will die of poverty. Since their governments cant even provide them clean drinking water nevermind benefits like furlough, stimulus cheques etc this scare mongering needs to stop now.
Down, please supply the true number of cases ... you may find the research more than interesting. To give you a headstart, 70-80% of people don't even show symptoms. Add to that the vast majority of world is unable to financially or logistically test, you may start to get the picture.
The more affluent countries in the world cannot afford national lockdowns again and the thought of hundreds of millions staving in the poorer countries is a reality unless the wheels get turning again.
there was 9m cases 2 weeks ago now its over 11m:

its spreading like wildfire imo.
I don’t think for one second everything will go back to pre Covid 19 levels but I have no doubt things will slowly start to go North regards oil prices.
I’m concentrating on oil demand and where world production is going, the SP will follow oil prices...... end of.
Higher production from the BP deal adds more value to the company than what they cost.
Don’t be fooled by these scaremongering muggers
