Kilgeever, it is wise to be cautious when considering capital preservation, given the current global outlook!
Agree the refinancing and BP deal are exciting and would ultimately be positives for PMO, but I expect a lot of SP turbulence when these things get announced, especially if done on market down-days.
Alfa, thanks for the digest out upcoming events.......lots to consider.
Under normal/pre covid conditions, I would consider these challenging but exciting.
Presently, however, with USA in crises and more future crises, oil unpredictable, etc, these matters are more worrying than exciting. I'm itching to buy this and others, but haven't ever felt quite so cautious. Kind regards.
Ferret,
Agree on big market disruptions likely, but hard to predict when and how bad.
Closer to home on PMO, aren't there financial covenant tests due shortly, and debt renegotiations to come? Given that ARCM received a nice payoff recently, I'm sure the other financiers will also want a sweetener. TD gonna have to dip into the candy jar again? Although with the bonds renegotiated, it will put PMO in a strong position again, so any negatives might balance out.
Then the fundraising for the BP asset purchase is the other one to watch IMO. When will it go ahead, and how many new shares will have to be issued and at what price? The BP deal being finalised might be a pre-requirement of any bond renegotiation. As such, announcement of new share issue could drop at any time, so need to be wary of this if trading/holding PMO at that time. Hmm!
For now, am glad I've kept my short open here.
Alpha, it will get worse before it gets better.
Perhaps now seeing RDSA write down of what U$ 1 billion - NO - U$ 22 billion might just bring to peoples mind there is deep issues out there that the current market position does not reflect acurately even 10% IMO
I do (honestly) hope that those PI's that made a killing recently have taken their profits -

Is today's drop anything to do with a share dilution?
Or is that later in August or September?
