Romford has a low infection rate.
At the last count, Essex had 5.8 cases of COVID19, compared to 140 cases in Leicester, per 100k population.
Maybe Essex man is smarter that we give him credit for?

Sorry Guy’s I’m a techno phobe,
But google and read Spanish Flu . History repeating itself or what. Don’t over dose on aspirin and follow the science. ODX are part of the scientific battle against this Virus .
The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918, the deadliest in history, infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide—about one-third of the planet’s population—and killed an estimated 20 million to 50 million victims, including some 675,000 Americans. The 1918 flu was first observed in Europe, the United States and parts of Asia before swiftly spreading around the world. At the time, there were no effective drugs or vaccines to treat this killer flu strain. Citizens were ordered to wear masks, schools, theaters and businesses were shuttered and bodies piled up in makeshift morgues before the virus ended its deadly global march.

What Is the Flu?
Influenza, or flu, is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. The flu virus is highly contagious: When an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks, respiratory droplets are generated and transmitted into the air, and can then can be inhaled by anyone nearby.
Additionally, a person who touches something with the virus on it and then touches his or her mouth, eyes or nose can become infected.
Did you know? During the flu pandemic of 1918, the New York City health commissioner tried to slow the transmission of the flu by ordering businesses to open and close on staggered shifts to avoid overcrowding on the subways.
Flu outbreaks happen every year and vary in severity, depending in part on what type of virus is spreading. (Flu viruses can rapidly mutate.)
HISTORY This Week podcast: The Deadliest Pandemic in Modern History
Flu Season
In the United States, “flu season” generally runs from late fall into spring. In a typical year, more than 200,000 Americans are hospitalized for flu-related complications, and over the past three decades, there have been some 3,000 to 49,000 flu-related U.S. deaths annually, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Young children, people over age 65, pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions, such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease, face a higher risk of flu-related complications, including pneumonia, ear and sinus infections and bronchitis.
A flu pandemic, such as the one in 1918, occurs when an especially virulent new influenza strain for which there’s little or no immunity appears and spreads quickly from person to person around the globe.
Spanish Flu Symptoms
The first wave of the 1918 pandemic occurred in the spring and was generally mild. The sick, who experienced such typical flu symptoms as chills, fever and fatigue, usually recovered after several days, and the number of reported deaths was low.
However, a second, highly contagious wave of influenza appeared with a vengeance in the fall of that same year. Victims died within hours or days of developing symptoms, their skin turning blue and their lungs filling with fluid that caused them to suffocate. In just one year, 1918, the average life expectancy in America plummeted by a dozen year
Totally agree with the government going for the herd immunity but they cannot admit it they would get shot down big time with the righteous brigade
Agree with you leemuu I was taken to hospital 21 dec spent Christmas night at home slept upright to scared couldn’t get my breath they done blood tests 21dec told me it was a very bad virus my wife got the same coughing for 2 weeks can’t wait for a good antibody test
hi all, was invested a while back, and recently got back in at about 46p.
People are all complaining about the goverments inaction etc, but I think they know exactly what they are doing, you can only control the virus for now and I truly believe they are going for herd immunity, they just wont admit it otherwise that means them accepting there is going to be collateral damage, they will need testing for a while to come, but they do know a lot more about the virus now, better treatments etc, I think the big thing next is proving who has anti bodies and testing to see who is immune. They have provided the guidance for the public, if certain people choose to ignore that then they do so at their own risk, they cannot lockdown fully again, there is too much at stake with the money, it is safe out as long as we are sensible and try to reduce the risk. I just drove past a pub near Romford at 230pm...crowds of people all drunk, hanging on to each other....these people have no one else to blame but themselves if they catch the virus. This pandemic has clearly highlighted how stupid some people are. But then again I think the virus has been here well before xmas 2019.....I cant wait to get tested as I think I have already had it, I think alot of people have without actually knowing it and I truly belive the anti body tests will reveal that, and thats why I have re invested here and not NCYT or AVCT
