Let's just say it's above the current price.
Bit of a sore point at the moment.
Devs are preparing to launch the next bridge on the appropriately named Optimism network. We could all do with a bit of that lately as the crypto winter crushes hope.
That's a stage I passed some time ago, B. I was on a third pint the other night and momentarily mistook the floor lamp for an alien -- shouldn't watch Blaze when I drink. Well, at least a bit of an uptick for OBC to end the week, and my beer's still nowhere near flat. (If only my shares were as good a bargain lately as that beer.)
So far I've reached the following stage:
shrtrf hfgdhhd h&*&* , HIC*
Bennster, it cost me the equivalent of less than a fiver because it has a dent, just like my head after watching the stock market these past few weeks. Some of the best beer I've had in years (Stephans Bräu Premium Pilsener). Not everyone rates it, but it's great from the fridge. If I drink much more, I really will fill me boots.
Undoubtedly a better investment Ignorant!
I don't normally follow other investors but in your case I too have invested in a case of 4.9% German beer.
The 5-litre party pack of German beer I bought from a German supermarket chain at half-price is working - the screen is no longer showing red. 4.9ABV. Works for me.
Well, that 's my story half the time for the best part of 20 years, DJ. As for arb, I think there's some update due end of June and I suppose people are placing their bets. I did have a buy order on limit there but it expired. I don't know if it's bottomed out or not, I'll just say good luck if you're in there too.
Arb doing better now, pushing 40p. No doubt obc will soon drop below my buy price. Thus following the long-established pattern..
Not gonna count any chickens, but at least OBC's up 24%, ARB 8%.
Crypto is bouncing, arb and obc both up 12% or so. Snagged a few obc this morning under 21p.
We'll all need something strong if this carries on.
Unbelievable mess across the markets affecting all sorts of investments.
Thanks for your thoughts on that, Bennster. I may postpone the scotch for another hour after reading those calming words, although I know none of us has a crystal ball, so I'll not bet the farm or even the Gro-bag just yet.
I don't think the situation is on them, they see a business they can transform - they've done it before.
They opened up the can of worms after having to pay to remove Chambers - this is the obvious consequence. Often best to get the bad news out early, then it's easier to improve.
It may act as a low point for them to buy more, but we'll only be able to tell by the transactions in the next few weeks.
I thought the forums were full of admiration for the new blood at AFN? So what happened? On to the scotch now.
The Chambers clan cast a long shadow. I'll let you decide for yourself what is incidental and what is deliberate from the following:
- Chambers as chairman - AFN spend years flat, very little action
- 2021 - suddenly start paying a dividend, price goes up all looks well
- Move from others who believe they can run this better
- Chambers exercises options at an immense discount (14p)
- Chambers resigns and gets a whopping further payout
New team realise this isn't making cash and the cost of getting rid of Chambers has crippled them - PI's foot the bill in big red losses.
Why would any of this matter to OBC? Check out the existing directors and shareholders and the performance of OBC.
I don't like bashing my own shares, but I'm also a realist and AFN will take some time to recover now. OBC have yet to even start to grow.
[pouring a dangerously strong shandy, biting my lip]
Advfn results out... divi has been dropped.
I'm sure they are purchases given the prevailing midprice.
Crypto has been making a gentle recovery recently as the market picks up.
I see one or two have put a bit of a wedge down if these 2 trades are buys today: 10,000 & 38,618 (from here, the lse Trades screen)
Sweep to UMBR function added to bridge staking pools yesterday. Users can now hit the sweep button to convert any small stakes/earnings of any coin on any network into staked UMBR on ETH network. Costs nothing to do. Should help support UMBR price too. I tried it last night, and it works well, very fast.
So overdue I'll believe it when I see it.....
So overdue it hurts!
I'm gonna say it ... we're all hoping for a long overdue wedge from our portfolios, Dubjon
Looks like OBC is about to break out of the falling wedge on the chart. The wedge has formed over the last 6 months or so. I'm thinking some larger buys will be reported later...
Down 6%. Can modify that saying to "Check your shares in May and see your hair turn grey."
