Im glad for 1. It woulda made me panic sell. And now I got no choice but wait for freeh. Hopefully be minor discrepancies that can easily be swallowed time will tell.
Hi MrD, I’ll be happy if it opens up at £10.
The one I know, Patisserie Valerie, never came back. Still trades as an enterprise but not as public company.
Yes premier_oil opened at 43p from 19p..
Norgis added yesterday?
To be fair it’s probably new analysts at these big IIs... the ones doing the research on an emerging market mid cap like nmc are usually fresh grads so don’t be too surprised by this.
Yes but so many of them all making the same mistake
Investors can face losing money, but share suspension is something that many will not tolerate... this will be punished much worse if/when it resumes... I can’t find any shares that successfully resumed trading without a huge drop... anybody have other experiences?
Big institutions f*ck up too... but the difference is that’s it’s usually less than 1% of their portfolio so doesn’t matter too much...
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/globe-investor/the-billionaire-investor-who-bought-into-sino-forest/article592688/
“He is not the only investor who decided to gamble on Sino-Forest after short-seller Carson Block alleged the company was a "multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme" in June. Boston-based institutional fund manager Wellington Management Co. LLP has also amassed a significant stake, making it Sino-Forest's third-largest shareholder.“
The same players lost big on sino forest too.
But in a sense isn't it good? As the whole market is falling, it might drop sharply. But it's better for invertors to take any decisions after everything is clear rather than reacting everything individual findings like this. I think that's what the company tried to say in RNS.
Totally agree
It goes down and somebody will think it's a bargain and back up again
Sorry if this company is so awfull and badly run why have so many big institutions go so many millions of shares
Surely they are not gambling with the price like private investors
Autonomy 1
Yes we can ignore those trade but I'm just trying to find out was there any trade actually?
Who dare to buy 1000?
Anyway, I think it's better to suspend now and open as soon as possible when everything is clear.
They suspended because they knew it would be carnage. The board is protecting us. The discrepancies could be small. We will all have to wait and see.
I think we can ignore those trades
However I like to keep positive it could be that they are suspended as they are in advanced talks
Everyone is assuming it's for bad reasons
Just my thoughts
so was the last trade 1000 ?!!!
Don’t read anything into it.
Shares are suspended, as expected.
Sadly I’m not sure whether they will now reopen. Assume the worst and say goodbye to that money.
It shows
trade volume:14
Open : 938.40
Low: 790
Last trade: 1000
!!!
