Fundamentals better, sentiment worse. Dont see fundamentals worsening so a case of a sentiment turn needed. Could time to buy imho.
since we dropped below 10p, and we haven't been anywhere near since. We are some 30% below where we were when Hall took over. Has he been overpaid/rewarded for results he has achieved? What news will get us back to 10p+, as it will need much more than just news of a divi?
I am not so sure there are many, if any waiting in the wings to purchase the company either.
I wish you'd learn to buy at the right price!
What Is Treasury Stock (Treasury Shares)?
Treasury stock, also known as treasury shares or reacquired stock refers to previously outstanding stock that is bought back from stockholders by the issuing company. The result is that the total number of outstanding shares on the open market decreases. These shares are issued but no longer outstanding and are not included in the distribution of dividends or the calculation of earnings per share (EPS).
From memory the buyback shares are going into treasury and not cancelled down so unless some small print also eligible for divi. If so it's another way to keep money in the business. As shareholders are partial owners that's good for us too.
Patience will be rewarded.
Of course I want a hight share price -- considerably higher. My point is simple. As the company has now repositioned itself into a cash generative organic grower (and given that there clearly are still sellers at current levels), it is far better that the company be the buyer AND reduce shares outstanding. For every 1% of shares bought back, that's 1% more for your shares upon a company sale. At its current 56mm+/- market cap, it will NEVER attract capital flow into shares that creates the momentum we'd all otherwise like to see. And, while I don't know Buffett personally, Warren wold certainly agree! Why don't you call finnCap and offer some of your shares. They'll bid you as will perhaps Henry Turcan (an insider): https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/minds_machines/news/rns/story/w330djw
If the company is the buyer, why would you want the stock moving up in the interim? That makes no sense. This stock will never trade in line with an index, it's too small. No one cares. Let all the dinker sellers sell. Shrinking the shares out, however incrementally, is a positive step in the right direction. It's an expression of confidence by the board. If you think there's anything nefarious at hand, you're just paranoid.
Thanks, yes we are having a good day .My holding here is far more important and I look forward to the fat lady singing for us all .We bloody deserve it after all these years.ATB and thanks for your good wishes
The fat lady’s not due here any time soon, but ....... I can hear her practicing her chords somewhere else. :) BW
If bought back shares are not cancelled down they are an investment by the company in the company. SP increase will come and can only help. Tender offer still not off the table too.
Dividend will come but it needs to be reliable, growing (progressive) and conservatively covered. That will come.
I am concerned that at 6p, instead of 60p, this will not be taken as seriously as it should. Consolidation is still something I think could help. The float is too high. It looks like an amateur Aim stock, not mature.
= further buyback?! SB
yes Tap, but you are assuming all PI's want the same as you, they don't. We know of at least one on here..
we have to remember that Mr Hall has very little say in matters. He is mere puppet and yes man in all this.
unfortunately Tap, there is not much SJL can do other than stamp his feet like we are doing here, especially if the other big boys don't want the same thing.
I don't think there was enough money in the kitty to pay the 1 mil as a dividend. 5.1 earmarked for .London , about 2 restricted cash. Leaves about 2 for day to day running of the company, and don't forget the wages :). It will come after December
It does appear that discontent is growing here at an alarming rate - the catalyst for some ligh at the end of tunnel is likely to be the settlement of .london - at which point it will be difficult for the company to avoid coming clean on its intention re shareholder returns. Looks like i was on the money with my 6.044p next trade shout - not that there was any real doubt! And Scotty I do not believe there can be any more skeletons in our cupboard - that would be truly poor management and i don't think that would be palatable to our II's. SB
should read "I can't believe"
We need to see some return here and quickly. Its not often I have been in AIM share where there isn't some bad news at some time. The concern I have here is that even with all the good news this year the SP really hasn't done anything. It will only take one piece of not so good news and the SP will fall unreasonably. I for one need to see some return and believe a divi needs to be forthcoming ASAP. I can believe its taking this long to agree on how best to return value to Shareholders, its pretty obvious.
That's why I said Jan for news. They won't know what funds they have got to play with until towards the end of Dec.
Cant disagree much on that front bakky. Its bad news when we are close to our 12 month share price high at 6.044p. Lets hope our major shareholders agree on a plan and implement it soon; and hope that plan features a dividend. At least it seems the buyback is back on hold. SB
for me there are only two pieces of news I want to hear. One is a progressive divi, the other, a sale for 14p+. As Tap says, don't want any more spin like the 'bad actors' ****e.
AGM voting,..... good news??
You are of course forgetting the results of the AGM voting in December! I think/hope we will hear an update before then. SB
that'll be Jan then?
