Partnership with APPLE for imminent launch of Apple HomeKit European device range!!!!
New and enhanced distribution agreements SIGNED, with the JOHN LEWIS PARTNERSHIP which is now stocking Light wave devices !!!!
and . . . 2.46 Million cash in Bank Successful launch of Generation 2 products New and enhanced distribution agreements signed, with John Lewis now stocking Lightwave devices Direct to consumer sales doubled Partnership with Apple for imminent launch of Apple HomeKit European device range
Smart homes solutions provider LightwaveRF reshuffled its board after Andrew Pearson has stepped down from his role as chief executive and left the company. Pearson has been replaced by chief financial officer Kevin Edwards who will hold the role in the interim before Onzo Ltd's chief sales officer Jason Elliott joins as permanent chief executive in mid-September. Elliott has gained firsthand experience with smart home solutions through his work with Onzo, which provides energy data analytics to major utilities. Previously, Elliott was divisional managing director at safety management software firm SafetyBank, held senior sales roles at Azzurri Communications Limited and served as an engineer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
Half yearly results were predictably unimpressive. quite frankly the numbers are awful - one of the distribution channels needs to start doing some sizeable business soon or, in my opinion this will go bust. Last funding round raised 4.9m in Dec-17; 3 months later cash at bank 2.46m!! this company has and presumably always will burn through cash at an alarming rate. shocking
Looks like a solid start to the year to me..better than I expected with the distribution changes that have taken place.. good foundation to build on and the excitement of the rollout in Europe to come.
Well I did my bit lol! ..just bought 25 power sockets and 8 (for now) dimmers..just waiting for some more Gen2 devices to be released..
Good! Only tested the hub and a double socket so far..they were out of stock of the single dimmer I ordered (encouraging?). So far no issues - easy to set up ..everything seems to work flawlessly..range seems to be fine..it feels like a quality product. I'm eagerly awaiti g more Gen 2 products - inline 3 way switch is my immediate priority (are you listening Lightwave? Lol)
How you getting on with their product so far
Think it will take another 6 months for them to establish themselves with new distributors. Small losses but encouraged by the share options. Gives them a target to aim for wether they get there will be down to the sales team who I guess those options are for
Well I can't say that was a surprise..a little disappointing but encouraging that margins are still so high. I think we all new that was coming and reflects the gradual fall in SP over the last couple of months (allowed me to pick up a few more shares on the cheap though lol) Looking forward to the next update when the new distribution arrangements feed through..
Well Graham - I've taken the plunge and bought a hub, 1 socket and a light switch (direct from Lightwave - might as well maximise their profit).. if I like them I'll be buying a lot more sockets and switches (about to start a full scale refurbishment at home). If they can get their act together with other generation 2 devices then I'll try to include those in the scope too. I'll also be topping up my (modest for now) holding here if the products meet my high expectations..
So it's finally dawned on this company that sales and revenue are required, could that be because they wouldn't dare to attempt another placing??? i still have my reservations - this stuff isn't exactly flying off the shelves: who actually needs a light dimmer? anyway, lets see what the new guy can do. good luck all
As its not a plug in but the actual socket, its really good if you have to put furniture etc in front of it. https://www.the-ambient.com/reviews/best-smart-plugs-alexa-homekit-413
Morning, there is one other but shy lol. Yeah products are really good quality though and perhaps they were using the wrong outlets, Maplin, B&Q etc as they are not cheap. Think the latest piece of news is quite interesting John Lewis not sure they will sell many but the electrical outlets should push the products very well and electricians like to have the best products for their customers. City Electrical factors is a very good outlet for them. Never a good idea to have an exclusivity deal with an outlet so expecting sales to start movin from here on in. Have you tried any of their products.
Hi Graham..Sorry that your all alone here (it would seem)..Interesting couple of RNSs..reading between the lines I'd say revenue growth is disappointing...share price reaction seems to support the theory..I just have a small stake here but will look to increase. Apple Home hasn't really got a head of steam yet and if a slow start to the year has pushed the bod to widen their distribution channels and add 'marketing' resource then they might be in a better position to benefit from what I believe will be a sharp increase in demand as people move on from their Echo dots ....
Nice

If you have any HomeKit compatible devices like thermostats or lighting, HomePod will hopefully become the hands free hub of your connected home. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.techadvisor.co.uk/new-product/gadget/apple-homepod-3642522/%3famp
Nice read! Cheers. To switch up totally... Wonder if the links with the insurance companies will come to anything? Was mentioned in the share talk interview. I think this is kind of similar to STAR; as in their tech could be used in a number of different ways!
Trade sideways. Seems thats what they are doing.
Market makers struggling?
Day :-)
